Position: Business Analyst/Sr. Business Analyst (Trade Finance)
We are strengthening our Trade Finance expertise and looking for Trade Finance Specialist to join our
team. The Incumbent will be responsible for Leveraging Newgen’s BPM expertise and experience in
Trade Finance and Supply Chain finance there by providing compelling value prop to prospective
client. Consulting, Research, Implementation & enablement of Presales etc. that results in the best
solution for business objectives as a Consulting Practitioner.
Key Responsibilities:
Liaise with the Product Solution Management team to understand the requirements and
produce functional specifications, jointly with the Product Development teams, for strategic /
regulatory / client-based initiatives.
Participate in client requirement workshops and identify any gaps together with high level
proposals for their resolution (e.g. development, workarounds or changes in processes).
Ensure any solutions proposed are realistic and within the agreed scope of the project
Analyse client business requirements, liaise with client(s) / project team(s) and produce
functional specification document for addressing the requirements. Be involved actively in
the process till the sign-off is obtained from the client
Participate in Solution design with development / testing teams to ensure the requirements
are addressed. Ensure Requirement Traceability Matrix is updated to facilitate tracking of
requirements coverage
Participate in final User Acceptance Testing for all major developments in the domain
Assist in the production of various collaterals – Business requirement document (BRD), User
guide, “How to” guides, Functions and Features documentation, process flows and other
internal / external training collaterals
Assist in internal training rollout
Provide pre-sales through participation in demos / workshops
Participate in beta site support
Contribute to the Product Roadmap by keeping track of market trends, regulatory
environment, competitive landscape, etc
Mentor junior business analysts/consultants in the team
Skills & Experience:
Graduate with 5 + years work experience / knowledge in Corporate Trade Products – Letters
of Credit [LC], Factoring & Forfaiting, Bills & Collections, Letters of Guarantee, Syndicated
LCs & Guarantees and Risk Participation, Supply Chain Finance (SCF)
Knowledge of Accounting entries, Asset Classification and Provisioning of the Trade
Finance Products
Knowledge of Block Chain, OCR of Trade Documents would be an added advantage
Any White Paper or Strategy Paper published would be an added advantage
Strong documentation and analysis skills are essential.
High level of analytical skills from 2 perspectives – => Fitment of the Business requirement
to the Product => Impact of proposed enhancement / modification on the existing product
Pro-active, quick learner, ability to effectively work in multicultural, multinational teams
Positive attitude and ability to engage with different stakeholders managing scope and
expectations skilfully
Travel abroad for days to months, at short notice
Ability to work independently and without supervision with an eye for issue resolution and
